Who we look after
Trades & contractors
Electricians, plumbers, builders, carpenters and every trade in between. Liability, tools and vehicles are usually the big three.
Retail & hospitality
Shops, cafés and food businesses, where stock, glass, money and business interruption all matter.
Professional services
Offices and consultants who need professional indemnity, management liability and cover for equipment and data.
Hotels & motels
Buildings, contents, liability and loss of income for accommodation businesses.
Builders & contract works
Cover for the work in progress on site, plus home warranty where it is required.
Landlords
Commercial and residential landlords protecting the building, rental income and their liability.
What we can arrange
Every business is different, so the right mix depends on what you do and what you own. These are the covers we arrange most often. All cover is subject to the insurer’s terms, conditions and exclusions.
Fire & Specified Perils
Protects your building, contents and stock against events like fire, storm and impact.
Business Interruption
Can help replace lost income and pay ongoing costs while you get back on your feet after insured damage.
Burglary & Theft
Covers stock and contents stolen in a break-in, and the damage left behind.
Money
Cash on the premises, in a safe or on the way to the bank.
Glass
Shopfronts, internal glass and signs, so a broken window doesn't mean days boarded up.
General Property
Portable gear you take away from the premises, like laptops, phones and tools.
Electronic Equipment & Machinery Breakdown
Repairs or replacement when computers, refrigeration, air conditioning or plant break down.
Public & Products Liability
Protects you if your work or products injure someone or damage their property.
Professional Indemnity
For businesses that give advice or design, covering claims that your advice caused a loss.
Management Liability
Covers directors, officers and the business against claims about how the business is run, including employment practices.
Cyber Liability
Helps with the costs of a data breach, hacking or a cyber attack on your systems.
Commercial Motor & Tools of Trade
Utes, vans and work vehicles, plus the tools you carry in them.
Tax Audit & Employee Fraud
Professional fees if you are audited, and cover if an employee steals from the business.
Contract Works & Home Warranty
Cover for building projects in progress, and builders' warranty where the law requires it.
Spread your premium
Paying a big premium in one hit can strain your cash flow. We can arrange premium funding through specialist premium funders, so you pay in instalments instead. Premium funding has its own costs, and we’ll explain them before you decide.
Business insurance questions
What is a business pack?
A business pack bundles several covers into one policy, such as fire and specified perils, business interruption, theft, money, glass and liability. It can be simpler and sometimes better value than buying each cover separately, but it still needs to match what your business does.
Do I need public liability insurance?
If customers, suppliers or the public could be hurt or have their property damaged because of your business, public liability is worth having. Many councils, landlords and head contractors require it before you can start work.
What's the difference between public liability and professional indemnity?
Public liability covers injury or property damage caused by your business activities. Professional indemnity covers claims that your advice, design or professional service caused someone a financial loss. Some businesses need both.
What does business interruption cover?
After insured damage, such as a fire, business interruption can help cover lost gross profit and extra costs while you get trading again. The indemnity period you choose sets how long the cover runs, so it’s worth getting right.
Are my tools covered when they're on the ute?
Not always. Tools are often only covered at your premises unless you add tools of trade or general property cover. We’ll check where your tools are kept and how they’re secured.
Can I pay my premium in instalments?
Yes, we can arrange premium funding so you pay in instalments. There are costs involved, and we’ll set them out before you commit.
